A Note About Parent-Teacher Conferences

Writer: St. Andrew's SchoolSt. Andrew's School

At St. Andrew’s Elementary school, we believe academic success is a partnership between parents and teachers. Our fall conferences will be on October 21 and October 22 via Zoom. We are so grateful for how students and parents have embraced new health guidelines this year to create a safe learning environment for students and teachers.

Here are a few guidelines to make the most of your virtual parent-teacher conference(s):

  1. Please find a quiet setting in your house. Students do not need to sit in on the meeting. This is our time to learn a little more about your family and provide feedback about your child’s performance in school so far.

  2. If you have any concerns, feel free to prepare any questions for the teacher ahead of time.

  3. Please use the link your teacher provided by email and join the conference at your scheduled time. There is a digital waiting room. There may be a little bit of waiting as meetings are back to back. Don’t worry- teachers will let you into the meeting when they are ready for you.

  4. Technology is such a wonderful tool — but doesn’t always work correctly. Please be patient if we have any technical issues.

Please remember our goal is to engage with parents and develop a shared understanding of the steps needed for your child(ren) to make academic progress at St. Andrew’s Elementary School.

We look forward to connecting with you.
