The third graders did an excellent job on their science fair animal projects! Thank you for your support! We enjoyed learning about the different animals. They did a great job answering their classmates and other teachers' questions. We even had the opportunity to share projects with the kindergarten and preschool classes. We also enjoyed another visit from the Ike Educators last week.
Other recent activities include reading The Lorax and stream project; wrapping up our "Watch my Words" unit in Friendzy where we learned that we can't take back our words once we've said them (by using the example of toothpaste-it's easy to squeeze out but almost impossible to put back in the tube!) We are now working on "Friends Forgive."
*We are winding down the year. We have a few friends who've met their ar goal. GREAT WORK! We have several still working towards reading and taking tests. Our reading celebration will be Monday, May 23. Students need to have met AR goals by then. Plus, if all the students meet their goals, Principal Whitehair will KISS a PIG!!!
Upcoming May dates (it's such a busy month) are included at the bottom of the page.
Enjoy the pictures!
