First Grade: First Spelling List

Good afternoon! 

The kiddos are coming home with their first spelling list today! 

Some of these words are review words from kindergarten.  In the first few weeks, we reviewed our letters and letter sounds. We have also been learning about vowels and consonants.  We have been working hard on the letters o, n, t, and p this week.  The spelling list usually comes home on Mondays and the test is given on Fridays. 

The words are the following:

2. no

3. in

4. pop

5. not

6. on

7. it

8. tip

9. pin

10. top

As the year advances I will provide optional challenge words.
