Fifth graders had a GREAT experience at the Capitol in Topeka on Tuesday!
Special thanks to Representative Scott Hill for giving us the opportunity to testify about the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad.
We enjoyed touring the Capitol, including to the top of the dome for those who don't mind heights! Thanks also to Lynette Hill for guiding us inside the Capitol, and to Traci Jurgensen for driving!

THANK YOU for encouraging your child to do his/her homework - reading at home each school night and practicing math facts appropriate for his/her age. Those who meet their second semester class reading goal will enjoy a picnic at Eisenhower Park with Fr. Peter and Principal Whitehair. Reading to and with your child will help develop important literacy skills. New goals are in place for the second semester. REMINDER - students who attend after school are reading each night and can count those minutes.
More great experiences this week - Students enjoyed "Dragons Love Tacos" at the Great Plains Theater. Thank you, Home & School, for funding this fun event!
Preschoolers enjoyed having a Kansas Farmer from McPherson read a story to them and answer farming questions. Thank you, Ms. Kohman for bringing this program, Common Ground Kansas to our students!
