T is for Thanksgiving and Turkey!

We had a terrific time learning about letter T two days last week and the week before! We enjoyed a letter T dot page, triangle fun and matching up turkey prints in the math center. We also put together name turkeys, Thanksgiving Bingo, pilgrim craft, acorn collages and fingerpaint turkey art! We enjoyed so many fun various books about being thankful and Thanksgiving. In religion we discussed what it means to be thankful and how to count our blessings and be grateful for all God has given us! We made a cornucopia of things we are thankful for. I hope you enjoyed looking at these if you came to eat lunch with your child on Tuesday. The kids had a blast with Mrs. Mueli on Tuesday afternoon at the Turkey Trot. I hope you praised them for their performance of the Turkey Ted poem and the Turkey Pokey! Even though I didn't get to see it Tuesday, I saw it in practice and they were adorable! I almost forgot . . .we enjoyed a new center these last two weeks-the puppet center! I'm not sure if your preschooler told you about it, but they were certainly good at entertaining with the puppets!

I hope you all had a Wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and got to have lots of family time. This week will be a little bit of an adjustment for all of us getting back into the routine of things! We will be working on some Christmas music this week and studying letter A for angels and Advent.

We will be going to mass this Tuesday at 8:15 in the morning. Please feel free to join us if you can! You can just e-mail me if this is a possibility for you- I could use some extra hands if anyone can join us. Also in important announcements- Sack Lunch Picnic is this Friday. Show and Tell will be Friday as well. The Christmas Program is set for Wednesday December 15, at 7:00 pm. We no longer need Clorox wipes as a whole bunch came in now thanks to a grant. Thank you so much for all your donations!
