Teachers Notes:
Only 27 more days of school and it is going to start going by so fast. We will be having our spelling test this Thursday so please help your student study their spelling words in preparation for the test. If your child has a summer birthday and you would like to celebrate with the students before we leave for summer break please email me a day that would work best for you. Thank you for all that you do and for all your help and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

UFLI:
In UFLI we will be learning about when we add -s and when we add -es. We will also be talking about the three sounds that -ed makes and when we use each sound.
Reading:
In Reading this week we are starting our last unit called Beyond my World. The Essential Question in this unit is How do the seasons affect us? Our Academic Vocabulary words this unit are: senses, expect, process, and information. This week we will have the vocabulary words autumn, spring, summer, and winter. We will be talking about the long o sound when it appears as oa, ow, and oe. We will also be working on decoding words with consonant blends and trigraphs. The essential question that we will be working on this week is What happens during the seasons?
Math:
In math this week we will be adding and subtracting tens from a multiple of ten. Adding tens to a two digit number. Use counting on and the make a ten strategy when adding across a ten.
Science:
In Science this week we will be watching our plants grow and recording their growth. We will also be talking about the seasons and how they change throughout the year.
Religion:
This week in Religion we will be talking about Easter! We will be talking about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins and ross from the dead to open the gates of Heaven.
