1st Grade Pumpkin Patch!

Teachers Corner:

Last week we got to an exciting visit from the Fire Department. They talked to use about how to stay safe if we are ever in a fire. This week will be a very busy one. Please make sure to turn all money for the pumpkin patch in by Tuesday October 18th. This will ensure that we are all ready to go and no last minute scrambling. Also if you have not done so please sign up for your parent teacher conference. This is on Thursday October 20th from noon to 8 pm. Many have signed up but there are still a few who have not yet signed up. This will help me ensure that our conference goes smoothly. In other important news, next week we are co-hosting the Halloween Tiger Day. An email was sent out explaining this event and more information will follow. Thank you so much for all that you do and for everything! I would not be able to do what I do without the amazing support that I have received from all of you!

Religion:

Our Saint of the week is St. Luke. St. Luke lived from (9 AD-84AD). He was one of the apostles and is one of the authors of the bible. St. Luke is the patron Saint of artists, as well as doctors. His feast day is October 18th.

Our prayer for this week is the following: "Almighty God, Who didst inspire Thy servant St. Luke the physician to set forth in the Gospel the love and healing power of Thy Son: Graciously continue in Thy Church the love and power to heal, to the praise and glory of Thy Name; through the same Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, now and forever. Amen."
