Eisenhower Foundation: Victory Garden
Bringing fun learning opportunity right to your backyard

The Eisenhower Foundation is providing starter packs and learning materials to Abilene Students who want to grow their very own Victory Gardens.
Victory gardens, also called war gardens or food gardens for defense, were vegetable, fruit, and herb gardens planted at private residences and public parks in the United States during World War I and World War II.
Mrs. Woods kindergarten class received packets of sunflower seeds and a tomato plant as a part of the effort.
