Teachers Notes:
Hello Everyone! I hope that you had an amazing Thanksgiving break and is ready for these last few weeks before Christmas! I am so excited to share this time with your students. If you haven't already please do not forget to send in your reading logs so that we can track the reading of your students. Thank you guys for all that you do and for your continued support this year! We will not be having spelling tests for until we come back from Christmas break but we will be having our sight word tests each week. We will also be having math fact fluency tests multiple times each week so please make sure to be practicing those with your students. Thank you for all you do and I hope you have an amazing day and fabulous week!

Reading:
In reading this week we will be start our Gingerbread unit. We will be reading many versions of the Gingerbread man and talking about how they are similar and how they are different. We will be focusing on retelling stories and predicting what we thing will happen. We will be talking about identifying the problem and the solution in each story along with the characters and settings.
Math:
In Math this week we will continue working on our adding and subtracting fluency along with understanding what each sign represents. I have noticed that some of the students are getting confused between the addition and subtraction and equal signs.
Religion:
In religion this week we will start talking about advent and what it represents. How during advent we are preparing our hearts and minds for the coming of Christ at Christmas!
Science:
In science this week we will be talking about how animals use camouflage to help them survive.
