If you haven’t heard, Our Fall Festival & Book Fair is coming soon. Save the Date for
Saturday, November 12th. This is an amazing opportunity to enjoy time together as a family while also supporting the Scholastic Book Fair.
BOOK FAIR
Our goal this year is to generate $3,000 in support of the Scholastic Book Fair, which will give St. Andrew’s Elementary School a 50% match to replenish our classrooms with the latest books and materials for students to enjoy. (Yes, that means for every dollar you spend, your child's class will get 1/2 back!) Consider making early Christmas purchases at our Book Fair to help us meet this awesome goal. Every purchase helps us, and every purchase will earn tickets toward fun raffle prizes, including no-uniform tickets!
COST
Admission for the Fall Festival & Book Fair can be paid in one of three ways:
Purchase a book from the book fair that evening for yourself or from a teacher’s wishlist.
Bring a baked good to donate to the cakewalk.
Provide a $10 donation to be used to purchase books from your favorite teacher’s wishlist.
Entry fees will allow you to enjoy unlimited games and activities for the opportunity to earn prizes. The only FEE is at our event will be at our popular face painting station. Participants will be asked to show a receipt from the book fair to choose their favorite design. This is a fun BONUS for helping support our school.
FOOD
Plan to join us for dinner on Saturday. Our wonderful food committee is serving homemade chili and cinnamon rolls. Yum! The cost of food is a Goodwill offering.
VOLUNTEERS
If you are new to our community or school or wondering what this is all about-- we always plan a dinner around our Book Fair. We decided this year would be a fun opportunity to try something a little different so that parents, students, and parish members can come together for food and fellowship. We encourage at least ONE parent to sign up for ONE shift and/or donate food. The event will be two hours--so ideally, each family can enjoy the Fall Festival together.
