In reading this week we are going to be looking at the long e sound when it is written as ee, ea, and ei. We will also be working on blending sounds to sound out a word. The theme of the week is how animals help each other.

Math:

In math this week we are going to work on breaking two digit numbers into groups of tens and ones. We will also continue working on fluency in adding numbers between 1 and 20, with subtraction between 1 and 10.

Religion:

In religion this week we are going to learn about the Holy spirit and Saint Dominic Savior. Saint Dominic Savio lived from 1842-1857. Dominic Savio was born in Italy. At the time of his First Holy Communion he considered Jesus and Mary to be his best friends. Dominic liked to pray and study, and was viewed as a peacemaker at his school. He became ill and died before his fifteenth birthday. He is the patron saint of young boys and his feast day is March 9th.
