Thank you for an amazing week last week and I hope that you have a wonderful week this week. We have a lot going on and homework may seem like a lot. There will be spelling tests each week and to help your student study their words I will be sending home spelling homework. Next Monday there will be no school and as it is a staff inservice day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me. Thank you for your time and patience.

Friday is a sack lunch day, if you have not done so already please sign up your student for a sack lunch if they will not be bringing one. As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Saint of the Week:

Saint Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680)

Kateri Tekakwitha, a Native American, was born in New York state. At age 20 she was baptized. This demanded great courage because her own people discriminated against her for becoming a Catholic. Kateri escaped to Canada, where she cared for the sick and taught Bible stories to children. Her feast day is July 14th.

Prayer of the Week: Lord, we thank you for the gift of Baptism. We are happy to be followers of Jesus. Help us share our faith with others by following the example of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha. Amen.
