Teachers Notes:
What an amazing first full week of school! I hope that you all had an amazing labor day weekend! Its hard to believe that we are already in September! WOW! Don't forget to sell trash bags. Trash bag sales end next week! Thank you for all that you are doing. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me. I will get back to you as soon as I can. I am going to be looking into setting up the remind app this week and will keep you posted with any updates I have on this. I hope that you and your family has a fabulous week!

UFLI:
In UFLI this week we will be reviewing the short sound of o and the short sound of u. We will be practicing reading cvc words with of and u. Examples would be cut, cup, mug, mud, cot, got, pot, etc.
Reading:
In reading this week we will be learning about synonyms, nouns, and verb tenses. Mostly present tense verbs. We will also be reading a story called Henry on Wheels.
Math:
In math we will be representing put together situations with number bonds. Counting on from one embedded number or part to totals of 8, 9 and 10. We will also generate all the addition expressions that add up to 8, 9 and 10. We will also start working with math stories and how to find the equation in the story.
Religion:
In Religion this week we will be talking about Our Father in Heaven. We will talk about how the Father in Heaven cares for our needs. We will also be talking about all the ways we can pray to God. How God wants to create a relationship with each of us.
Saint of the Week:
Our saint of the week this week is St. Stephen. St. Stephen is the patron saint of deacons, altar servers, bricklayers, casket makers, and stonemasons, and is also invoked for headaches. He was the first Catholic martyr and was known for his faith and teachings of God and Jesus.
