Teachers Notes:
I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend and that you were able to enjoy your extra time with your students. This week we have our field trip on Thursday. Please keep a lookout for more information to come out regarding the field trip. If you are able to carpool please do as this will help with the parking situation. Also we are part of the Tiger day celebration. If you are able to send in an estimation station prize please email me by the end of the day on Tuesday to let me know about how many we will have on Friday. Thank you for all that you do! UFLI:
This week we will be learning about the nk and how it come at the end of a word. We will also be reviewing all the digraphs we have learned so far.
Reading:
In Reading this week we will be learning about how baby animals grow and change. We will be looking at polar bears, kangaroos, and penguins. We will be talking about nonfiction texts and what makes a text nonfiction. We will also be talking about Interrogative sentences and what makes a sentence an interrogative sentence.
Math:
In Math this week we will be relating subtraction from ten to the the corresponding addition problems. We will also be working on our fluency in addition math facts. We will be getting new math flashcards next week.
Religion:
In religion this week we will be talking about Noah and the Flood. We will talk about God's promise to never flood the Earth again and how we remember this promise when we see a rainbow in the sky.
