Teachers Notes:
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. It is amazing to see how much your students have grown this year! THis week we have a home and school meeting on Thursday March 30th at 6:30. This Friday is our fit and fun Friday, they do not need to wear a uniform and we have stations of the cross at 12:05 and we would love to have you join us. Next month we have a lot going on. We have the auction on April 15th. Our project is coming along and as soon as it is finished I will take a picture and send it out so that you can see how it turned out. If you have any concerns or questions please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

English:
In reading this week we will be looking at the sound that is made when you have an a and a r next to each other. We will also be talking about how we can classify and categorize everyday objects and things. We will be reading Goldilocks and the three bears, A Barn Full of Hats, A Lost Button from Frog and Toad are Friends, and Sort It Out.
Math:
In math this week we will continue to learn how to use a ruler in measuring different objects and why it is important that we know how to measure.
Science:
In Science this week we will be working on the sun and shadows.
Religion:
In Religion this week we will be continuing our lessons on how the Holy Spirit helps us pray. Our saint of the week is Saint Clare. She was born in 1193 and died in 1253. Clare, a friend and follower of Francis of Assisi, came from a wealthy Italian family in Assisi. She joing Francis in living a life of poverty and simplicity. Francis helped Clare found a religious community of women known as the Poor Clares. The nuns live a contemplative life of work and prayer. Their mission is to pray for the world and for the Church. Her feast day is August 11th.
