Dear Parents-
You are important partners in the health and growth of the St. Andrew's community. We want you to know that while we've established guidelines to ensure the school remains open, our School Reopening Document remains a fluid document. We will always prioritize the health of our community with the latest information provided to us from health experts, public officials, and leaders in the diocese.
Exclusion Policy with two or more Symptoms as of 10/28/2020:
Currently, if a child presents with two symptoms then he or she is excluded from school either for 10 days or until he produces a negative PCR covid test (these are provided locally via nasal swab- the original deep nasopharyngeal swab is NOT required). We are not allowed to accept a physician’s note stating alternative diagnoses without a negative Covid test. This is a change in policy from the beginning of school and is consistent with the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics. These are the guidelines all Dickinson County schools are enforcing as instructed per the Dickinson County Health Department and the Dickinson County Health Officer.
Should students be required to stay home, teachers have provided Zoom links and schedules to ensure students stay on track.
Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
