Teachers Notes:
Happy February everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far. Sorry for getting this out late. This week is very cold so please make sure that you are bundling up your students. Last week was a blast with your students dressed up as if they were 100 years old. I have attached pictures to the bottom of the newsletter, and there is a photo posted on the Facebook page with everyone at the beginning of the day. If you are available to help drive students on February 10th to the Village manor and back, please email me if you have not already. It should last from 1:00-2:00. Important Dates:
February 1st- wear as much red, white, and blue as you can with your school uniform.
February 2nd- dress in clothes to represent a profession you admire, spelling bee at 1:00
February 3rd- Pajama and crazy hair day- with an item for the food bank, Family picnic at 11:30 with the Talent show following at 12:15
February 7th- school council meeting at 6:30
February 10th- 1st Grade will go to Village Manor to play Bingo at 1 p.m.
February 14th- Tiger Day
February 20th- No school Teacher inservice
February 25th- first Reconciliation, 9 am
Homework:
Monday-Study Spelling words and read for 10 minutes
Tuesday- Math worksheet, Study spelling words, and read for 10 minutes
Wednesday- Math worksheet, study spelling words, and read for 10 minutes
Thursday- Math worksheet, Study spelling words, and read for 10 minutes
Friday- No homework and I hope you have a great weekend!
Reading:
In reading this week we are going to be reading about where food comes from. We will also be learning that when we have two o's together they can make the /u/ sound as in the word took. We will continue working on comprehension.

Math:
In math we will focus on word problems and determining it we are putting together or taking away. We will also be working on our fluency with adding numbers between 0-10.
Religion:
This week in religion we are talking about how Jesus taught us to forgive one another. We will be talking about what forgiveness looks like and how we can show and ask for forgiveness.
