Jan. 31 news: CSW!

Congratulations to Sophie and Weston B. on winning 2nd and 3rd place in the Dickinson County Soil Conservation Poster Contest! We are so proud of you.

Congratulations also to Whitney, Lane and Jack as they will represent our class in the school spelling bee this Thursday afternoon.

This is Catholic Schools Week. Students may participate in as many dress up activities as they wish. They can always choose to wear uniform. Please don't feel that you need to go out and buy something-use what you have or borrow from a family member or friend.

Monday: wear silly socks and hat w/uniform

Tuesday: wear clothes of a career you admire; Talent Show @ 1:30

Wednesday: red, white, blue day (wear school uniform); Mass w/Bishop in JC @ 1:30 Thursday: dress as favorite saint; Spelling Bee @ 1:30 (3-5th grades) Friday: PJ/crazy hair day (no uniform day) bring a new pair of socks or $1; Family Picnic Day (bring a sack lunch or sign up for one from Miss Becky.)

Last Friday we enjoyed learning about Kansas. We researched early Kansas homes, then built one of the following: sod house, log cabin, dugout, or frame house as a special stream project with the 2nd graders. Thank you to Donna Reynolds, who share a trunk full of Kansas treasures and stories with us.
