January 8th-12th Newsletter

Teachers Notes:

Good Morning, I hope that you are all doing well. As we get our first full week back to school we will be starting our spelling tests again. Your child will be coming home with a list of spelling words and the words are listed below for your convinces. If you have not turned in your December Reading log please get those in and if you need a reading log for January please let me know and I can send one home with your student. Thank you for all that you do and for your continued support. I hope that you had a wonderful christmas break and a Happy New Year. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Reading:

  • In reading we will be working with the long a sound and when a, al, and aw make the o sound like the words ball, talk, and saw. We will be talking and learning about plays and dramas and what those are. We will also be talking about exclamatory sentences and imperative sentences.

Math:

  • In math this week we will be talking about how you can turn a subtraction problem into an addition problem to help find the answer.

Religion:

  • In Religion this week we will be talking about how we pray with God's Word. Our saint of the week is Saint Mark.
