Here are a few things that my Kindergartners are going to learn this week!!!!!!

Math

· Verbally count to 100 using 100s chart, brain break, Activity: Creating a Fruit Loop Necklace Counting to 100.

· Verbally count to 100 using 100s chart, brain break, Partner work/roll and color to 100 Game

· Verbally count to 100 using 100s chart, brain break, whole group circle activity, Trace counting to 100 worksheet

· Verbally counting to 100 using 100s chart, brain break, apple write to 50 worksheet

·Verbally counting to 100 using 100s chart, brain break, apple write 50-100 worksheet

Reading wonders

· Essential Question of the week: How can you stay safe in bad weather?

· Visual Vocabulary: safe, prepare, notice, celebration, enough

· Concepts of print, identify words, word building

· Phonemic Awareness: Phoneme blending, isolation, segmentation (review all sight words studied)

· Literature Big book/questions/answers

· Verbs, rhymes, identify sight words, picture sort, syllables, pronouns, weather words, question words

· Independent Writing

· Beginning to read books

· April 29 - Field Day

May 12th Kindergarten and 1st Grade Field Trip to the Manhattan Zoo, Insect Exhibit, Lunch at the Park
