September 16-20th First Grade News

Teachers Notes:

Good Morning,

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. This Friday is pajama and Pancake day! For meeting our summer reading goal. Please continue to fill out your reading sheet and if you need one or need a new one please let me know and I will send one home. Thank you for all that you do and your continued support. Coming up next month will be our Tiger Day partnered with the 5th grade class. I will be sending out more information on this soon. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful and Blessed week.

Reading:

In Reading our Essential Question this week is How can I get to know my neighbors? We will be continuing to learn about realistic fiction and the short e sound. We will also start talking about different word parts. We will be reviewing what a simple sentence is and learning about Adjectives and Articles.

Math:

In Math this week we will be starting to learn about word problems. How to pull out the important information. We will also be continuing to work on our math facts as well.

Religion:

In Religion this week we will be continuing our discussion about God and the love that He gives us to share. We will also be talking about how God is present in the Eucharist.
