Teachers Notes:
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that you enjoy all this beautiful weather. Please send your September reading log back on Wednesday morning and I will send home an October reading log on Wednesday. We will be having choir practice on Wednesday after mass. UFLI:
In UFLI this week we will be talking about the voiced and unvoiced sounds of Th. The voiced sound is only present when the th is at the beginning of a word. The unvoiced TH can be found at the beginning and end of of a word.
Reading:
In reading this week we will be finishing up Unit 1. We will be reading words with qu. We will finishing up our discussion on What is a neighborhood. We will be looking back on all that we have read this unit and comparing them. What they have in common and what is different.
Math:
In math this week we will be learning about how we can use a number line to add and subtract. We will also be working more on our fluency with math facts. We will also start testing on counting up verbally to 120.
Religion:
In Religion we will be starting Chapter 4: The Gift of God's Creation. We will be talking about the book of Genesis and the creation of the world in seven days. Also we will talk about how we are asked to take care of all that God has created.
