This Wednesday is the beginning of lent. We will have Ash Wednesday service at our 2:00 p.m. school mass. The ashes remind us to turn away from sin. It is a symbol of our Christianity and all in attendance at mass - no matter what faith - are welcome to receive ashes on their forehead.

Families are encouraged to make some kind of sacrifice or commitment during lent. One suggestion is to attend mass as a family every weekend - or attend together at your own church. Giving up something or adding more prayer, scripture reading, etc. is also a good idea. We pray that each family can grow in their faith during the coming lenten season.

Rice Bowls will be coming home with the oldest child in each family. Please consider adding money to your family rice bowl as a lenten sacrifice to help the hungry.

Information was sent home about spring pictures. Spring pictures are in clothes of your child's choice. We will also be taking class group pictures that day.

Parent Teacher Conferences are on March 9, 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. Watch for sign-up coming via e-mail next week.

We will be providing a free dental screening through KDHE on March 1. If you would like to opt out for your child, please return the opt out form sent home from nurse Carol Whitehair.

We also now have screenings available at the school to test for Influenza A, Influenza B and Covid. This can only be given to your child with written or verbal permission to school nurse, Carol Whitehair.

We will have mass next week on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Please join us if you can. Mass collections in February go to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Students are encouraged to bring money for mass collections, even if just a coin or two. THANK YOU for teaching your child about the importance of stewardship and helping others.

We will be using the south doors next week.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!!
