THANK YOU for encouraging your child to do his/her homework - reading at home each school night and practicing math facts appropriate for his/her age. Those who met their first semester class reading goal enjoyed a "SNOWBALL PARTY" on Friday afternoon. Reading to and with your child will help develop important literacy skills. New goals are in place for the second semester. REMINDER - students who attend after school are reading each night and can count those minutes.

Some of the after school students will represent our school at the Proclamation Signing at City Hall on Monday. We will try to take students who get picked up later. Let us know if you DO NOT want your child to attend. We would appreciate a few extra drivers if you are available 3:45 - 4:15, or parents feel free to bring students on your own to join us - city library meeting room.

PLEASE COME!!! Students and staff will be helping with 10:30 mass next Sunday, January 28. We would LOVE TO FILL the pews with as many St. Andrew's Students as possible. Students attending, wearing a uniform, and sitting with our group up front will earn a no uniform coupon. A taco bar will be provided after mass in the school gym.

AUCTION NEWS!!

HELPERS NEEDED before, during and after the auction. Please find a way to share the gifts and talents of your family members in some way to support this important fundraiser. Donations and help count toward stewardship hours.

Auction Committees- https://signup.com/go/wDWixhT

CLASS PROJECTS - Each student is asked to help with their class auction project by sending a small donation to help cover the cost. A donation of $5 - 10 per child is suggested. Any amount above the expense of the class project goes to the auction profit. If this is a financial hardship for your family, even $1 is

appreciated and allows each child to be part

of the classroom project. Send to your child's teacher by January 19.

Raffle Tickets can be turned in each Friday for a chance at weekly prizes. Can we set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD for sales this year?? More tickets are always available in the tub on the front porch of the school.

Ticket sales started January 17. Tickets this year are $50 each.

BUTTONS STILL NEEDED for a special all-school art project. Each child & staff member will be represented with a button on our special project. Shades of blue & cream colors are needed. Please send to school if you have any to share. We will also have plenty to choose from if you do not have one at home to send with your child.
