Fifth graders were recognized by Daughters of the American Revolution at their meeting yesterday for their first place finish in state for their Group Community Service Project. Special thanks to Mrs. Anguiano and her fifth graders for leading our Veteran's Day Project which was submitted to the Junior American Citizens Committee. Presenting the award to some of our fifth graders and Mrs. Anguiano is Cassy Wilson.

Families are encouraged to make some kind of sacrifice or commitment during lent. One suggestion is to attend mass as a family every weekend - or attend together at your own church. Giving up something or adding more prayer, scripture reading, etc. is also a good idea. We pray that each family can grow in their faith during the coming lenten season. Parents are also welcome to join our lenten study group on Wednesday evenings in the school gym, 5:00 - 6:00. You are also welcome to join us for Stations of the Cross on Fridays that we have school at 12:05.
We are making a change to the end of the school year calendar. Our last day will be Friday, May 19 for all grades. Preschoolers will have programs in the morning. A family picnic lunch will begin at 11:30 with the fifth grade vs. parent kickball game following. We will close our school year with mass at 2:00. Teachers will use the

Mass collections in March go to the Bishop's Annual Appeal. Students are encouraged to bring money for mass collections, even if just a coin or two. THANK YOU for teaching your child about the importance of stewardship and helping others.
