Third graders enjoyed a walking field trip to the Heritage Center this week.
May is the month of Mary - we had May Crowning last Friday. Fifth grade girls traditionally crown each statue of Mary at the school. Students are welcome to bring flowers to sit by one of the statues as well.

Thursday – DAR Presentation in Gym, 2:30; School Council Meeting, 6:30 p.m. (Moved from Tuesday)
Friday – Senior Walk-Through, 11:15 a.m. (approximate time); Reading Party, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

THANK YOU!! Thank you to the Home & School for the awesome staff appreciation week! We LOVED everything so much!!! Special thanks to Teacher Appreciation Week chair Beth Anne Kreigbaum and to all who helped her this week!! We are SO BLESSED to have such amazing support!!
Masses next week are on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Please join us if you can. Collections from school masses in May go to the School Endowment.

WALK AND ROLL - Meet at the Senior Center this coming Wednesday at 7:15 (RESCHEDULED FROM THIS WEEK) if you'd like to "Walk and Roll" to school with our group.
We would love some extra helpers next Friday, May 15, 1:00 - 3:00 for our Reading Party.
Please note we have changed our last day dismissal time to 11:00 a.m. This aligns with the public school calendar so buses will be available. Here is a last day schedule:

Scheduled Arrival Time: 10:00, Zoo Exploration in Groups
All School Program Scheduled for 11:00 - 11:30
Lunch 11:30 - 12:00 at the Zoo
12:00 - 1:00 Zoo Exploration with Group
Depart Zoo at 1:15
Return to School at 2:45
We have one Abilene Public School Bus transporting students. Others will ride with parent or diocesan approved driver. Please indicate that on your child's permission form. Please note that students cannot choose to ride with certain drivers, unless they are riding with their own parent(s). Carpooling is encouraged with another family. Students not riding with a parent will ride the bus with staff members.
We have to have an accurate count of those attending. Please let us know by FRIDAY, May 8 if you are attending.
Wear Friday orange shirts with uniform bottoms.
Student admissions - covered by Home & School fee paid at the beginning of the year
Cost for adults and non-students - $4.50 if entering with our group and paid for in advance
Students may bring a sack lunch or order one from the school kitchen.
