Special thanks to the high school and middle school students who helped at Fall Festival last Saturday Night. Pictured above are helpers in the face painting room. We also had helpers with several of the games on Saturday Night. Thank you to all who helped - We are so grateful! We had such a fun time!!

Thursday – Grades K, 1, & 2 to Hildebrand Dairy and Milford Nature Center, Leaving at 8:45, Wear Your Orange Shirt and Uniform Bottoms

 

Friday – Halloween Tiger Day, Hosted by Grades 1 & 5; Parade, 12:30, Trunk or Treat, 1:00 p.m.

Monday - Pizza Stick, Romaine Salad Mix, Broccoli, Fruit, Milk

Tuesday - Corn Dog, Celery Stick, Baked Beans, Fruit, Milk

Wednesday - Chicken Leg, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Corn, Fruit, Milk

Thursday - Cowboy Cavatini, Romaine Salad Mix, Breadstick, Fruit & Milk

Friday - Sack Lunch Day


On Fridays, students may bring a sack lunch from home or order one from the school kitchen.


Other Notes-

School masses next week are on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Please join us if you can. Collections from school masses in October go to Catholic Charities.


Please complete the parents survey to help guide our school improvement efforts. Families completing the survey can sign the green coupon for your child to receive a free no uniform day or bring a stuffy to school day. THANK YOU for helping us reach our goal of 90% participation!! SURVEY CLICK HERE! 


Fall pictures are Rescheduled for this TUESDAY! If you would like to purchase pictures of your child, please send back your child's envelope and payment. Fall pictures are in uniform for grades K - 5. Preschoolers who attend only MWF may make an appointment, or we will photograph your child on Picture Retake Day, December 1.


THANK YOU to all who supported the Book Fair this year! We received many nice new books for classrooms and the library!


Do you need a decent but used 8 ft. table for family events at your house? Contact Principal Whitehair. We are selling the old, heavy tables. Thank you to all who contributed to the table replacement fund!


Please see dates below for Preschool - Grade 2 Field Trips. Drivers will be needed. Contact Principal Whitehair for details about becoming certified to drive students. A PERMISSION Slip was sent home with students. Please return this to your child's teacher so we can plan drivers. Students will need a drink and snack. Sack Lunches will be provided. If your child is riding with one of our drivers, please send a car seat. Wear your orange shirt and uniform bottoms.


Students will be allowed to wear Halloween Costumes on Friday, October 31. Nothing scary or gory, please - and no toy weapons. K - 5 will parade downtown, weather permitting at 12:30. The Trunk or Treat is 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Let us know if you'd like to sponsor a trunk. We will parade downtown at 12:30 on Cedar, around the block at Third and Spruce and back on Cedar (avoiding Buckeye for safety).

We will be having several, "Stop and Think Drills" over the remainder of the school year. These drills help students prepare for all kinds of emergency situations. For example, we will have them stop and think during lunch sometime next week to locate all available exits in case of a fire or other emergency.


The Health Council encourages students to participate in the October Fitness Calendar Activity.

OCTOBER FITNESS CALENDAR REWARDS:

1 Bingo = Extra Recess

2 Bingos = Extra Recess, plus a No Uniform Coupon

Blackout = Extra Recess, No Uniform Coupon, plus help plan one lunch menu w/ Miss Lacy.

Complete only one activity per day.

Please return completed calendars after the end of October.
