4th Grade News

Mrs. Randles

We did it!! We made our goal! These kids are amazing! Thank you families for helping us achieve our goal. Our final total is $879.26! We will be shopping online in the next couple of days.

Parents, I do need your help with one small thing. We need 24-32 oz wide mouth jars for a Christmas project. I thought I had enough for this class but I am a few short. If you can send them with the labels cleaned off that would be great! Thank you!

We are in the middle of taking our ITBS tests. The kids are working hard, and I am proud of them as this week as been very different!

Tomorrow is our school picnic. Weather permitting we will be outside as normal. Here is the info from Mrs. Whitehair:

Family Sack Lunch day for the month of December is Friday, December 4th. As we move into the cold weather months-- we will make the decision if parents can attend that date.

Sack lunch Day is an opportunity for students to bring their favorite lunch from home or get a special sack lunch from the school. Students choosing to bring a sack lunch will not be charged on these days. It's also a day for a family member to join students for lunch: weather and COVID-19 guidelines permitting.

  • Students are invited to bring a sack lunch on Friday or they may sign-up get one from the lunchroom.

  • Students may also have a no uniform day with an item or $1 for the Food Bank.

  • Immediate family members may join their child(ren) using the following schedule:

Students with last names starting with A-N will eat on the playground 11:15 - 11:45

Students with last names starting with O-Z will eat on the playground 11:50 - 12:20

  • Parents - feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets for your picnic.

  • Students who do not have family members attending may bring a beach towel or small blanket to sit on. They will eat with their classmates and/or staff members.

  • It is important that family groups social distance from other families during this event. Because we have to separate groups for recess, please don't allow your child to play on the equipment during the picnic time. Those finishing early may walk on the walking trail.

  • Please enter through the small south gate and exit through the large north gate. THANK YOU!!

If you haven't ordered lunch and are needing one, please use this link for Friday.

We are looking forward to another family picnic day!!
