4th Grade News

Hi All!

Thank you all for attending conferences and letting me chat about these kids!

I still can't believe this is the last quarter of the school year. Things will be moving so quickly and the time will fly by.

AR

The last day to get your AR points in will be May 16th. Our final AR party will be May 17th.

Science Fair!

Science Fair season has officially begun! Here is a timeline that might make it easier to keep up.

Friday, March 24 (THIS Friday)- Students must have topics chosen. If you need help, Mrs. Anguiano and I have books with tons of ideas. You can also Google ideas, just make sure that it is not just a demonstration, but they are asking and answering a question through their experiment.

Friday, April 14- Experiments Done. This gives students a week to work on making their boards look great!

Thursday, April 20- Projects DUE. All boards must be turned in by this date. We will be displaying them for Family Picnic Day.

IF you ordered a project board for the science fair pleas have the $3.50 paid by this Friday (24th) THANK YOU!

Poetry!

Your students will be published authors! Our class will be working on poetry the next couple of weeks and we will be writing our own poetry and publishing a book! Please see below the way that you can order a book. Remember, this is your ONLY chance to order. We get a free class book if everyone responds. You DO NOT have to buy a book, but please decline so we can get a free book for our class library.

Dear Parents,

I am excited to announce that your child will soon be a published author. We are writing and illustrating a classroom book that will include all the students' work. Your child is bringing home a letter with details about the project as well as an order form if you'd like to purchase a class book.

Books cost only $20.00 and are a professional-quality, hardcover book. Classroom books make great keepsakes and gifts for other family members and friends.

There are 2 easy ways to order a classroom book:

1. Return the paper order form and payment to me by 4/07/2023; OR

2. Place an order online using Class ID JR12505. Simply visit https://www.schoolmatepublishing.com/app/#/parents/JR12505. Write the Confirmation Number from your receipt on the paper order form and return to me by 4/07/2023.

This will be your only opportunity to place an order for a classroom book. Our classroom will receive one free book if all families respond or all order forms are submitted (even if you do not purchase). If you do not wish to purchase a book, please see order form for details or go to https://www.schoolmatepublishing.com/app/#/parents/JR12505 to decline the purchase of a book.

You may also use the link above to upload your student's pages in the online Parent Portal.

The students are very excited to see their creative work published in a book! Be sure to ask your child about his or her contributions to the book. Our classroom book will become a treasured keepsake!

Sincerely,

JAYME RANDLES
