4th Grade News

Hello!

Here is what is going on in 4th grade!

Angel Tree Project

Angel Tree Project begins TODAY! I am so excited to get this project rolling. I know that some of the kids said that they have already started earning and can't wait to turn it in! That makes me so happy!

Our goal is $1,000 or about $45 per student as the 5th graders are going to join us again this year.

Thank you for those who have already signed up to drive/monitor a group. Just shoot me an email if you would like to sign up to drive or monitor a group.

Book Orders

I sent home book orders today. I know that the date that is written on there is November 5th, but that was when I was going to get them out last week. The new due date is next Wednesday, November 10th.

I know Christmas is coming, so if you see any books that you want to order for gifts, please let me know and I will keep those separate for you. I know the due date is a little early for Christmas, but they have been delivering slowly this year. I just got a book in last week from the book order I sent in last month. I want to make sure they come early rather than late.

Homework

Please remember, don't spend more than about 30 minutes on homework, especially if it is tough. I do want kids to struggle some, but struggling to frustration and tears is not helpful for anyone. If your child is struggling and has worked on it for about 30 minutes, please just send me a note in the planner and we will go over it the next day.

Tonight's homework may be especially tough. It is not an easy concept to master. They should only be doing 2 problems; #1 and another one of their choosing.
