We are needing some pretty leaves for a fall art project. We will collect some from around the school, but would love more from a variety of trees. Please send some if you can next week by Wednesday.
We are taking ITBS tests this week. Please encourage your child to do his/her best, and make sure he/she gets plenty of rest each night.
First graders are encouraged to participate in the Geography Bee on Monday night if you can make it. Supper is provided - 5:30 in the parish hall.
Please practice sight words that came home in your child's yellow folder. We have learned all of Unit 1.
Students are encouraged to read as much as they can at home. We are setting school-wide quarterly goals. Those reaching their goal will enjoy a popcorn party at the end of the first nine weeks. Goal the first graders for the second quarter is 200 minutes. Please send your reading calendar in on Mondays. I would like to update their reading charts each Monday. Thanks!
Students are encouraged to bring money for the Monday and Wednesday mass collections, even if just a coin or two. Mass collections in November go to the Adopt-a-Student Fund.
