Hello Preschool!!!

We met a lot of new friends since our first day of school!

From left to right: (front row) Sutton, Brixlee, Walker, Tommy, Blaire, Landon, Leo,

(back row) Araya, Jackson, Louie, Liam, Katalina, Layla, Charlie, Brynn, and Arlo.

We have been playing together and getting to know each other, and we have so much fun at recess!!! We learned to line up, to be quiet in the hallway, to sit nicely at the carpet... So many rules!!! We are doing awesome!

We pick a helper of the day every morning. The helper is also the line leader that day and assists the teacher with various tasks throughout the day. It is a lot of fun ;)

We have done a lot of activities involving recognizing our right hand this week. We use that one a lot! Although we might not all use it to write, we all use it to do the sign of the cross when we pray, and we also put our right hand on our heart to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

We used our crayons to draw pictures and color. You have seen some of our work come home in our red folder. Thank you for checking it daily ;) As your children bring home their artwork from school, make sure you praise them, they are so proud to make something for you! You may want to display it somewhere, like on the refrigerator, until the next masterpiece comes home ;)

We had our first religion lesson: Jesus welcomes the children. You can find the Bible story and some discussion and prayer ideas for your family on the back of the work sheet that was sent home. We also took a little field trip to visit the statue of Jesus and the children by the parish hall!

Father Peter also came to our classroom to bless us for a wonderful school year :)

We also celebrated Sutton's birthday, who turned 3 this month,

and Leo's birthday, who is 4 now :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sutton and Leo!!!

Your children are a lot of fun and we had a great beginning of school year together :)

As we are getting more comfortable coming to school, we also get to use the bathroom ;) Please keep helping your children at home in training on going when they need and wiping by themselves! They are becoming so big!!!

Hoping you are enjoying your long weekend, I will see you all next week!
