Week #13

Happy Veterans Day!!!!

To celebrate our veterans this week, we made these beautiful flags :) and learned about our American flag. Did you know we say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning?

On Thursday we also received a special visit from a veteran: Mr Simenson!

He talked to us about where he went during his time of service and his every day life away from home. It was very interesting and we were all listening :) Thank you for your service Mr Simenson :)

We continued working on our letters. We also discussed the difference between letters and numbers! We learned that we make words with letters, and that numbers are for counting. We learned about the numbers 0 and 1.

For our social and emotional lesson, we talked about how God created us all different, and that is what makes us special! We had a circle and discussed how we have different hair, different eyes, we like different foods and we like to do different things. Thank you God for making us so special!!! Take a moment at home to point out the unique qualities of your children any chance you get ;) and to have them recognize unique qualities in others around them.

We did enjoy our time outside at recess! The leaves are so beautiful and fun!!!

Enjoy a wonderful weekend, and I will see you all back on Monday :)
