Week #9 and 10

The big event of these last two weeks was our field trip! We went to Moose Creek Pumpkin Patch in Chapman. We learned about and touched different kinds of pumpkins, then we got to pick our very own little pumpkin and eat some delicious pumpkin snacks! It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun!!! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help with driving and thank you to Mr and Mrs Stroda for sharing their pumpkins with us :)

We have been studying the letter B. B is for bat, bible, and bonjour (we learned how to say hello in French ;) We played with babies, played some bowling, built with blocks, made patterns with bears, and looked at books. We also had fun gluing blue beads to give to our parents during conferences! We tasted bananas for snack, and we also smelled basil leaves (most of us thought it smelled good :).

For STEM activity, we figured out how to fly some bats in our classroom!

We learned about friendship as we read the book Stellaluna by Janell Cannon. In this story about a lost little bat who is temporarily adopted by a bird family, we discovered that even though we can be very different, we are very much the same :)

We celebrated two birthdays this month! Jocelyn and Paisley both turned 4 :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jocelyn and Paisley!!!!

We are ending our first quarter! Thank you to all who came to the conferences. Most of all, thank you parents for sharing your wonderful children with us :)

Coming up: On Wednesday we will do picture retakes for those who need it. Let me know if your child need to get one ;) On Friday, we will have our Halloween party, with special treats and games, organized by Carly Nusbaum ;) Your children may wear their Halloween costume, as long as it is not scary ;)

I hope you are enjoying this long weekend :) and I will see you all back on Monday!
