THANK YOU to all of you who helped before, during, and after the auction! We appreciate your support so much!

This week we have been busy. We did several fun Valentine's activities and had fun playing games for Tiger Day in the afternoon. Our essential question in reading was "What ideas can we get from nature?" Students are working hard to read and take tests so they can meet their AR goals. The last day to take tests for the third quarter will be Friday, March 4. In math, we are continuing our study of area. We'll finish up our unit and take a test next week.

We enjoyed a couple of fun STREAM projects the past several weeks. The students had the challenge to build a new school. They worked as a team to plan, design and create the schools. They even got to come up with a name and logo. Then they presented these to the class (see pictures below.) We worked on a map packet in social studies after finishing up our Kansas Day unit a couple of weeks back. For Friendzy, we finished up our chapter on Teamwork makes the Dreamwork. Our goal was to Love God and others and use our gifts and talents to serve others. We concluded this unit by doing a group stream project of trying to build the tallest tower using spaghetti noodles, tape, string and balancing a marshmallow. In religion we are learning about the different types of prayer: blessing: asking for God's care and protection; petition: asking for God's help; thanksgiving and praise.

We also took a practice test in math and reading on our ipads. This year we will do State Tests in both math and reading. More info on this in the coming weeks.

Tomorrow: spelling test; please wear a red or blue uniform shirt

Looking ahead:

NO SCHOOL MONDAY: teacher inservice day

Enjoy the pictures!
