Good Morning,

I hope that you have had a pleasant and enjoyable weekend with your families. These next few weeks are going to fly by. Just a reminder that if you would like to attend our thanksgiving feast to send the envelope with money in as soon as possible. Thank you for all that you do and for your continued support.   • November 22-24 Thanksgiving break no school

December:

  • December 1 – Family Picnic Day; No Uniform Day with Item for the Food Bank or $1

  • December 6 – No School Mass – Moved to Friday for Holy Day

Reading:

In reading this week we will be learning about how plants grow and change. We will be reading informational text and talking about the different parts of informational text. We are going to be talking about the different parts of a simple sentences and a declarative sentence. We will be focusing on the consonant digraph ck and how it appears at the end of words following a short vowel sound. We will also be talking about the consonant digraph sh.

Math:

In math this week we will be working on our fact families and making a book of all the fact families. We will also be talking about the addition sign, the subtraction sign and the equal sign this week.

Religion:

In Religion this week we will be discussing how God's son is Jesus. We are going to read the story of Angle Gabrial coming to Mary and asking her to be the mother of Jesus. Our saint of the week is Saint Joseph, he is the patron saint of fathers and carpenters. His feast days are March 19th and May 1st.
