We're working hard and having fun in 3rd grade this week! We're excited to celebrate our Veterans yesterday. THANK YOU, to all Veterans. We appreciate all of your sacrifices. A special congratulations to Mr. Herrman (Blake's grandpa) and Mr. Simenson (Kyra's dad), who were awarded a Quilt of Valor, along w/Mr. Hunter. We are so proud of you and thank you for your example of selflessness and generosity and bravery.
(Veteran's day pictures to come, I'm having trouble loading them.)
We're finishing up our saint reports and will share those with the class. We have just a couple more lessons in our math chapter and will take a test next week. Then, it's on to multiplication. We look forward to the Ike Educators coming to teach us this afternoon. AR reading reports were sent home a couple of days ago. Please sign and return. We will do a couple of novel studies for the holiday season. The students can take AR quizzes over these at school, but should also be reading at home, trying to meet their goal by Dec. 16.
Spelling test Thursday, because there is NO SCHOOL on Friday. Happy Veteran's Day!
Parents: Please collect boxes (small and medium) think pop tart, cereal, etc. and paper towel and toilet paper tubes for a STREAM project we're doing next week. These can be sent in Wed-Friday. We use them on Friday.
