Happy Veteran's Day! THANK YOU to all of our Veterans service to our country and our community! We appreciate your sacrifices!
We look forward to some special activities today. Lane's parents are coming in to speak to us this morning. We also get to see a few members of the National Guard as well as the American Legion riders.
We enjoyed a visit from Father Peter last week. He shared with us about a few of his favorite saints.
This week we made a list of ALL of the people, places and things we are thankful for. These will be hanging in the hallway. We also had fun making turkeys! We had the opportunity to measure different objects, (length, capacity, weight) and estimate. We finished this chapter and took our test. We'll be continuing our study of multiplication next week. We worked on map packets and learned about presidential elections and voting. We also discussed expository text. We enjoyed a visit from the Ike Educators called "Dogs for Defense," on Tuesday. We finished up our Saint reports. It was fun learning and sharing about different saints!
Next week we'll be taking ITBS tests. These will be taken on our ipads. Please help your child get plenty of sleep and a good breakfast each morning so he/she can do their best. You may also send in a healthy snack for your child...fruit, crackers, etc. You may send one each day or something for the whole week.
Also, next week I'm traveling with our Catholic Youth Group to NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference) in Indianapolis. I will be gone Thursday and Friday next week. Mrs. Brierton will be subbing for me.
