We had a great time celebrating last Friday. Thank you to all who helped make it a fun day!
We had a busy week painting flags for Veteran's Day. We're starting Saint projects in religion. We're studying government in reading & social studies and getting the opportunity to vote on several topics this week. Then, we are graphing the results in different ways. We are starting to learn about maps and doing an overview of geography (continents, oceans, states, countries, etc.) in the next couple of weeks in preparation for the Geography Bee coming up. November is a busy month at school, make sure you check out the school calendar/Mrs. Whitehair's posts. We are finally getting some fall weather, please make sure your child has coats/hats/gloves for recess. They need to wear a school-uniform sweatshirt or long-sleeved shirt if they get cold in the classroom.
*Book-it pizza coupons and Thanksgiving Meal invites were sent home yesterday. Students are encouraged to read 60 minutes each week and turn the reading log in every Tuesday. If this is done consistently for the month, they earn a coupon.
*AR Updates were sent home yesterday....most students have a good start.
The last day to take AR tests this quarter is Friday, Dec. 17.
Tomorrow: No uniform day (with $1 or item for the food bank); sack lunch/family picnic day.
