Good evening. We've had a great week in third grade. The students did some math and reading testing on our ipads. I'm proud of their hard work! We enjoyed painting pictures of pumpkins today. (See photo below.)

**Special thanks to Mike & Rita, Beau's grandparents, for donating pumpkins to our school. We are going to do a special project with them in the upcoming weeks and then the students will get to bring them home. :)

NEXT WEEK:

REMINDERS: NO SCHOOL Monday-Teacher Inservice.

Friday: School dismisses at 1:00 (no after school).

Plant posters due Tuesday, October 13. (Several students have turned these in and shared with the class. The posters look AWESOME! :) Thank you for your effort assisting your child with this project.

Reading/Language Arts: Our essential question is: How do landmarks help us understand our country's story?

Spelling Test next Friday.

Vocabulary Words: landmarks, monuments, national, grand, massive, carved, clues, traces
