So much fun with our new friends!!!

We have started exploring painting in the last couple of weeks! We made some handprints to learn about our right hand, as it is the one we place on our heart during the Pledge of Allegiance, and it is also the one we use to make the sign of the cross :)

This week, we are learning more specifically about colors: red, blue, what happens when we mix them together... We are using new tools every day, crayons, markers, scissors, glue!!! Whoooah ;)

In religion, we have been talking about praying to God, all the things that we can say to him, and all the places we can pray at!

We also walked around the school and went on a scavenger hunt to find the statues of Mary... We found four!

In science, we have been learning about caterpillars and butterflies, and also about insects... We have some caterpillars in our classroom that we can observe, we have watched some videos and read some books about the life cycle of the butterfly... Fascinating!!! Thank you God for allowing us to witness these amazing transformations :)

And of course, we have been playing with new toys, and our new friends ;)

Coming up:

Please help us decorate our birthday board in the classroom! I would love it if you could send me a paper copy of a photo of your family, that I could display on the bulletin board next to your child's name (this picture will stay up for the entire school year). Thank you in advance for this ;)

Our Preschool class is looking for a Classroom Coordinator for this year. The Classroom Coordinator is my link towards parents volunteers. When we need to organize classroom parties, for the auction project, for field trips or special events, this parent will let you all know what we need in order to make these events fun and to have you included as much as possible in your child's life at school! THANK YOU SO MUCH volunteers for all you do!!!! If you are interested in this position, please contact me :)

Labor Day is coming up on Monday, no school!!!

In the meantime, have a wonderful rest of your week!
