Thursday - Continue with Letter Cc
Friday - Bring Show and Tell for the Letter Cc (Something that begins with the soft sound as in cinnamon or hard sound as in car); Family Picnic Lunch Day (In order to reduce numbers during this spike in COVID cases in our community, only one adult per family this time, please).
Family Sack Lunch Day Details - Friday, October 2
Students are invited to bring a sack lunch on Friday or they may get one from the lunchroom.
Students may also have a no uniform day.
Immediate family members (ONLY ONE GUEST PER FAMILY THIS WEEK, PLEASE) may join their child(ren) using the following schedule:
Students with last names starting with A-N will eat on the playground 11:15 - 11:45
Students with last names starting with O-Z will eat on the playground 11:50 - 12:20
Parents - feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets for your picnic.
Students who do not have family members attending may bring a beach towel or small blanket to sit on. They will eat with classmates and/or staff members.
It is important that family groups social distance from other families during this event. Because we have to separate groups for recess, please don't allow your child to play on the equipment during the picnic time. Those finishing early may walk on the walking trail.
BROWN BAG UPDATE Watch for a brown paper bag coming home during your child's letter week. Please help your child fill the bag with four or five things that will help us learn more about him/her!
We are continuing our study of the alphabet - especially the sounds of each letter. We will also introduce correct formation of each letter. Each Friday is show and tell for the letter of the week. Your child may bring something that starts with the sound of our letter of the week.
