We had a lot of fun beginning our letters! We first studied letter F/Farm and enjoyed the books "The Little Red Hen," where we worked with sequencing, "The Three Little Pigs," where we had fun acting out the story, and the "Three Billy Goats Gruff" where we worked on size sorting. We enjoyed a lot of songs especially "Old McDonald." We made some adorable farm animals hanging on our bulletin board in the hallway (check it out sometime!)
We also began our Handwriting Without Tears (handwriting series.) We made letter F's out of feathers and made a huge list of words beginning with the "f" sound. We made a friendship tree using our unique leaves. We finished the week with some science on colors (mixing colors and then seeing the cause and effect of using dish soap to repel the colors.)
